About the woodturner

I was first introduced to woodturning in the woodwork class when attending secondary school. At that time I was doing screwcutting. For many years I have been dreaming of getting my own lathe so I could start woodturning.
In 2000 I finally realized my dream. I have ruined many pieces of good timber on my way and I have even managed to hit my own head with a piece of birch. After long hours of trying to learn woodturning on my own, I finally took some classes. I now feel that I turn some really good pieces that I am proud of.
I started woodturning in 2000 and have a small workshop at home where I turn wood to different sizes and shapes. I experiment with different colors and surfaces and I create unique products. I am a member of “Trondheim Brukskunstforening” (Trondheim art ands crafts society).
